Hosting Reseller - Hostecs.com - gone?...

Since last Friday many of my sites are no longer online.
Including my Musicblogging blog at www.musicblogging.net
And also www.treeguide.info

Why is that, you might ask.
Well, read the following story that I just posted on my
webhostingblogger.net site and learn from it if you so wish.

One of the most important things online is interaction
between users, and whatever we are able to learn from
experiences of others is always welcome, at least I think so.

I was duped by Hostecs.com with which I hosted for 4
months before they took off and disappeared in the thin air?.

Their site is gone, they do not reply to emails for a week now,
and their phone number is a joke.

Than I was too late as on Friday morning my monthly payment
was performed automatically via paypal, so hostecs got paid
for an other month while they are gone. I canceled the subscription
but too late obviously?.

They were reliable for 4 months since I started with them.
I thought, they were a secure hosting company, so I trusted
them and was not worried and was not making back up?s all
that often, and I wish I had made them often enough?as, now
it is too late, and all I have is old back up?s that wont serve me much

So after I opened a dispute hostecs were very quickly answering?
and guess what they said?
That they do not provide refunds for hosting services???
Are these people gone mad?
They will not provide refund for something they do not provide at all?
They are gone, their site is gone, there is no contact whatsoever as
they do not reply to emails, or phone calls.
At the same time, they are stating
that there is no refund for hosting services???
I hope they?ll go there and give an answer to me and Mattrac soon,
if not - I?ll be calling my credit card.

For all to see I?ll copy and paste the dispute and the email
exchange between hostecs.com and myself on paypal.com.
I also told them to come to the web hosting forum and give an
answer, and that I?ll be posting the emails between us,
so who knows, maybe they will come and give some answers.
They haven?t been there since I posted on the forum however.

So, not only on the web hosting forum but also on my blogs

I have purchased hosting from this seller since June but they stopped delivering for the last week or so. They are now gone and there is no contact whatsoever possible with them as they do not answer on emails, their web site is gone, and the phone number is an answering machine that is telling us that our phone number has been blocked because we have called too often, which is not true at all as we start calling yesterday for the 1st time and never got anyone on line. We have tried calling the server provider of theirs but could not get any info from them, either because hostecs.com seems not to have paid for their services further. I did cancel too late, after paying again $19.95 today so would you please refund me the amount of $19.95 thank you

I think that such behavior of hosting companies online is
absolutely shameful? and I do not wish the same even to
enemies, and I am unaware of any enemies until now.

With all the experiences that I had with reseller hosting
companies, the grade, the highest grade that I can give
to any of them is a poor one. You never know what will
happen to your sites there, unfortunately.

I wish that I could afford many more dedicated servers
as these are the only reliable hosting that one can have
for his/her sites.
Unfortunately if your sites doe not produce an income as,
yet it will be difficult to maintain even one, coupled with
various reseller hosting accounts it?s heavy on the wallet.

Good luck, readers of my web hosting blog, and lets hope
it will not happen to me ever again?

Is RSS HOT or a Not?

Most probably many of you are using RSS feeds
for your blogs or sites and have been happily
using it for sometime now? And so have
I with some of my blogs and sites, like Ecophagy
and MP3 Blog News and Downloads
And with a few new once like Hottest Music
and Celebrity-Stars

There has been a controversy lately started
by people who disagree with the use of software
that makes the use of RSS feeds so easy to use and
fill the blogs and web sites with quality content
while profiting from Google's Adsense or Yahoo's
Advertising Network. The same publishers do place
the feed option on their blogs or sites, and have no
problem while on occasion an article or two are used
by other bloggers.

There is a possibility that shortly many of such
bloggers will have special Copy Rights placed on
their RSS feeds making it illegal to keep using
their work on your blogs or sites. For reference

For me personally this issue is not an issue at all.
I would not mind if any of my posts are used by others
given of course that all my info and references will
be kept as on the sites these are taken from. What could
be a better exposure than this? And isn't the Internet
meant to be an exchange place of info and links to begin
with?

to the web site readwriteweb.com with which I agree so
wholeheartedly:

Let see what will come out of all this. Let see
if our sites and blogs will become illegal or not,
and maybe we should start taking many of our RSS
feeds off. Or maybe start selling the sites that
are using RSS feeds and leave this to their next
owner. Or just simply burry our heads in the sand
and wait and see.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO and you'll achieve success!
This is what I've been told over and over again
by so many self-help programs. But how easy is
that? And how to do it? They all presupose that
each and every one of us has something where he/
she is excelent at, and by doing whatever you're
excelent at - doesn't feel like a job, or work,
but like having fun. Just like when we were
children and playing around.

The thing is though that we haven't been brought
up with the idea that what we enjoyed doing was
considered "work". School was mostly unenjoyable
and preparing us for a life filled with the work
we were studying for. Grown-up's were/are supposed
to work for the most part of their life wheter
enjoying it or not. This is what we were brought
up to believe. And it's such a hard "work" to change
these ideas when we are settled middle aged workers.

Or isn't it?

NLP for example is a way out, but you'll have to
study it for awhile before achieving different
set of ideas. The ego is the one that will work
against your feelings and wishes, trying to keep
you off the road to something new. Ego hates changes
and will do whatever it can to make you procrastinate
each and every new idea that comes up in your mind.

This is what has happened so often with me
and non of the programs that I have been using
has made me achieve whatever I hoped for.

I chalendge you to come up with ideas how
to achieve your dreams against all odds,
and mostly against the set beliefs of
our own ego's.

And for those of you that prefer to learn while
listening instead of reading - check out the

In the last few years I was on "off mode". Literally
"on pause". Since I was quite ill I had to take it easy
& allow my body to re-charge in order to get better
again.

published before I became ill. The "off mode" has
now changed into "on mode", meaning I am back.

Meaning I am here to take my life to the next stage -
simply by following my dreams & knowing that I'll
make my fortune!
